Issue 9.17 Pay As You Earn: The P45 does not currently show the amount of Student Loan deduction. Currently, if a taxpayer has to complete a Self Assessment Return, and they had more than one employment in the year, he/she would have to refer to each payslip to cumulate the Student Loan deduction for the previous employment (the P60 certificate only shows the payments made in that employment).
Current Position Head Office specialist and stakeholders currently looking at feasibility of including Student Loan deductions on the P45.
