HMRC Grant Funding Programme for 2011 to 2015 - who have we funded?

HMRC are again pleased to be able to report a highly competitive and successful funding round for 2011 – 2015.

We launched the 2011 - 2015 Grant Funding Programme on 12 January 2011. We announced that we had available £2 million per annum for the next four years aimed at funding Voluntary and Community (VCS) organisations. These organisations provide support and advice to those HMRC customers who need most help in complying with their tax obligations and claiming their correct entitlements. Organisations were invited to put forward project proposals for one or more categories of funding. These were to provide:

• advice and support to HMRC customers
• training and support to other VCS organisations, thus increasing their capacity and capability.
• innovative proposals with the potential to increase productivity and efficiency.
  

We received 79 applications for funding - the majority of which were of a high standard.

We have agreed to fund 17 projects from April 2011 to March 2015. A list of the successful funded organisations and projects(PDF 21K) is provided.
