HMRC Grant In Aid (GIA) Funding Programme for 2009-10 - who have we funded?
We are again pleased to be able to report a highly competitive and successful funding round for 2009-10. The Third Sector Team in HMRC launched its 2009-10 Grant in Aid Funding Programme on 30 September 2008. We announced that we had available £2 million per annum for the next two financial years aimed at funding Third Sector organisations. The funds will contribute to projects supporting key aims and objectives of HMRC in partnership with the Third Sector.
We received an unprecedented response as a result of our wider communications strategy and longer term funding commitment. We received approximately 600 bids - the number of bids received in 2008-09 was approximately 350. This year attracted a high standard of applications which included many excellent and innovative proposals.
We have agreed to fund 54 organisations for 2009-10 of which 26 have received funding for two years. A list of the successful 'Funded organisations and projects' is provided.
We intend to publish information in respect of the 2010-11 funding round towards the end of October 2009.
