HMRC's GIA Funding Programme for 2008-09 - who have we funded?
We are again pleased to be able to report a highly competitive and successful funding round for 2008-09. The Voluntary and Community Sector Team in HMRC launched it's 2008-09 Grant in Aid Funding Programme on 12 November 2007. We announced that we had available £2 million per annum for the next three financial years aimed at funding Third Sector organisations. The funds will contribute to projects supporting key aims and objectives of HMRC in partnership with the voluntary sector.
We received an excellent response as a result of our wider communications strategy and longer term funding commitment with the number of bids received in excess of 350.
We have agreed to fund 57 organisations for 2007-08 of which 20 have received allocations for two or three years and a list of the successful 'Funded organisations and projects' is provided.
We aim to start the 2009-10 round for bidders in the autumn of this year and will make further announcements nearer the time.
