Q. I have already paid tax to HMRC. Why do I need to pay more?

A. You may well have had to pay inheritance tax and corresponded with HMRC Inheritance Tax about this. However during the administration period you will have to pay income tax on any income which has not suffered tax at source, and you may also need to pay capital gains tax if assets within the estate are sold.
