Shares and Assets Valuation (SAV)

SAV is part of HMRC Charity, Assets and Residence (CAR). It is responsible for the valuation of unquoted shares - shares of companies which are not quoted, listed or traded on the stock exchange - for all tax purposes.

SAV also deals with the valuation of other assets for tax purposes, for example copyrights, goodwill, bloodstock, livestock and underwriting interests.
