Student nurses must have employment of 16 hours each week in addition to their nursing work - and satisfy the qualifying conditions - to be eligible for Working Tax Credit. If your only income is from a National Health Service (NHS) bursary, you will not be entitled to Working Tax Credit. Foreign nursing students from outside the European Economic Area are
unlikely to qualify for Working Tax Credit because their student visas
contain restrictions on working in the United Kingdom and on access to
