HM Revenue & Customs' 'Measuring Tax Gaps 2011' publication will not include an estimate of the 2010-11 VAT gap.
This is because publication by the Office for National Statistics of Blue Book data, which is a key component of the VAT gap estimates, has been delayed by several months, from July to November 2011. The 2010-11 VAT gap estimate will now be published via an official statistics release in December 2011.
