The next edition of Income Tax Liabilities Statistics (ITLS) showing income taxpayer numbers, liabilities and distributions will be published in April 2012.
ITLS would normally be published by January 2012, utilising new Survey of Personal Incomes (SPI) data on taxpayer incomes and including projections consistent with the Office for Budget Responsibility’s (OBR) Economic and Fiscal Outlook published on 29 November 2011. However, SPI survey data for 2009-10 will be published on 29 February 2012, the first new survey data for two years (see scheduled updates). Publication of ITLS will therefore be delayed to take account of that important new data, and further delayed so that projections may also take account of the OBR’s next Economic and Fiscal Outlook, accompanying Budget 2012. A specific ITLS publication date will be announced in due course.
Publication of ITLS is expected to revert to its normal bi-annual schedule in 2013 (December/January and April/May).
HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC) is keen to hear your views on ITLS and other statistical outputs. If you wish to send in comments, please use the HMRC official statistics feedback form
