Delay in publication of distribution of inheritance tax tables 12.2 to 12.8

Updates of the Inheritance Tax tables 12.2 to 12.8 were scheduled to be published in July.

We regret that we have had to postpone publication. This will allow us to undertake further work on the methodology for grossing up our sample of estates and to perform further checks on data completeness.

We now plan to publish the tables in September 2008.
