The publication of National Statistics based on the 2008-09 Survey of Personal Income (SPI) is being further delayed and will now be produced after the 2009-10 SPI Statistics are published. The 2009-10 Statistics are due to be published in December 2011 for tables 3.1 to 3.10 and January 2012 for tables 3.11 to 3.15.
The revised timetable for 2008-09 is not yet confirmed and a further announcement will be made once it is. However, the decision to prioritise the creation of the 2009-10 survey has been made so as to provide more up to date information earlier.
It has not been possible to obtain a full set of the data required to update the SPI with comprehensive information on individuals' income and tax liabilities in time to process the 2008-09 data before starting on the 2009-10 SPI. We will deliver the 2009-10 data according to the normal timetable.
