The 2008-09 tax credits and Child Benefit take-up rates publication, classified as official statistics and originally scheduled for publication in December will be delayed. The Quality Assurance process for these publications has identified an issue with the methodology for the child benefit take-up figures. The delay will allow the methodology to be rectified. It is possible that published statistics on the Child Benefit take-up rate in 2006-07 and 2007-08 will be affected by the review - if so, a revision to these statistics will be issued along with the 2008-09 results.
The new publication date for the 2008-09 statistics is 9 February 2011.
