Consultation of National Statistics on Indirect Taxes

HM Revenue & Customs are holding a consultation on its National Statistics on Indirect Taxes (opens new window) with users, from Monday 4 January 2010 to Monday 5 April 2010.

The changes HM Revenue & Customs will consult on are:

  • moving the bulletins (opens new window) from a monthly to a quarterly publication
  • including graphs and text to highlight trends in the data
  • dropping the factsheets (opens new window) (except for VAT and alcohol)
  • removing the seasonally adjusted VAT data and combining the alcohol bulletins

The consultation also aims to understand how customers use the statistics and how the statistics can be improved to better meet their needs.
