'Same day' stamping (Scottish Transactions only)

We recognise that there are occasional instances of the need for same day stamping, although our view is that these will be rare. Examples might be major privatisations or refinancing of multi-national groups. If deals can be structured to avoid the need for same day stamping, they should be. If this is not possible we will offer a bespoke service. Customers who must have documents stamped urgently (for example Stock Transfer forms for critical share deals, which cannot be structured to avoid this requirement) can do this by special arrangement. Customers should:

• contact us first, to request the service and arrange the preferred method of payment
• in certain circumstances documents will need to be submitted in advance of the transactions taking place
• deliver the documents to the public counter in Spur X at Grayfield House, where they can be presented for stamping
• take them away again - customers can wait to collect the documents should they choose, or alternatively can arrange a convenient subsequent time for collection
