Automated Registration of Title to Land (ARTL)

Automated Registration of Title to Land (ARTL) now includes Stamp Duty Land Tax (SDLT). This new element of the Registers of Scotland (RoS) service was launched today in Dunfermline. There are many benefits in using the ARTL system:

• no requirement for an SDLT 5 certificate
• fully validated service
• easier payment method
• one stop shop
• the SDLT return integrated with the application

RoS have received backing from all the major lenders in Scotland as well as the Law Society of Scotland and have worked closely with Stamp Taxes. The system will be rolled out over the next 12 months. You can contact RoS on Tel 0845 607 0161.
