Working with you

If you think that Shared Workspace can help to meet the needs of your business and want to take things further, you will need to contact the HMRC Office that deals with your organisation. Once we know that you are interested we will work with you to explore the opportunities that Shared Workspace can offer.

If this is the first time that your business has thought about using Shared Workspace we may want to meet with representatives to explain about the service, what it can offer and discuss whether it will meet your business needs.

If you want to explain about Shared Workspace to other members of your organisation we can also provide material to help you do so.

Designing your Shared Workspace Room

Depending on how and why you want to use Shared Workspace we may want to meet with you to talk through your Room design. This is a very important stage which helps to ensure that we capture and reflect your specific needs and that you get the maximum benefits from the service.

In the design we need to consider three main areas:

  • The purpose of the room must be understood and agreed to ensure that everyone gets the best from Shared Workspace.
  • Current business 'Processes' should be reviewed in an effort to realise real benefits, because Shared Workspace is very versatile it can be used as a way of improving existing processes.
  • The people who should have access to the room and whether there are any restrictions to who can see or edit particular information within it.
