How do I get my email or name changed on Shared Workspace?

You can update your user details from the ‘my member info’ page which is accessed from the ‘My eRooms’ page.

The email address you enter must be the email address you use for business purposes.

How do I put contact details on Shared Workspace?

Your email address is held in ‘my member info’ accessed from the ‘My eRooms’ page. Any other member can access this information from within a Room.

Is Shared Workspace secure?

Shared Workspace is extremely secure with several layers of both physical and technical security measures in line with the International Security Standard ISO 27001.

Is information in Shared Workspace backed up?

Yes, information in Shared Workspace is backed up on a nightly basis.

Can all changes be tracked?

All documents (including spreadsheets) held in Shared Workspace are version tracked. This compiles a complete history of all changes made to the document, by whom, and when.

A similar facility is available for databases if they are created with the inclusion of a Change Log field. A Change Log includes details of the date the change was made, the member who made it, the field and what was added or removed.

How will my data be used?

The Data Protection Act applies to ‘personal data’ in respect of 'living' individuals. That is, data (information) about identifiable living individuals (data subjects). Those who decide how and why personal data is processed (Data Controllers) must comply with the rules of good information handling, known as the data protection principles and other requirements of the Data Protection Act.

Information held within Shared Workspace is covered by the Data Protection Act.
