Pension Scheme

If you have any questions about your pension scheme you should, in the first instance, contact your pension provider. This may be your employer or a financial institution depending on what type of pension scheme you are in.

National Insurance Contributions

If you have any question with regards to your individual National Insurance contributions or contracting-out of the second state pension please contact the National Insurance Contributions Office.

The Pension Service

Is part of the Department for Work and Pensions. Their website provides information for individuals about pensions and other pensioner benefits in the UK, whether you are planning for the future, are about to retire or have already retired. Visit the Pension Service website or call 0845 60 60 265.

If, you have a query about being a member of a contracted out pension scheme, call 0845 915 0150.

The Pension Tracing Service

May be able to help you if you think you have one or more company or personal pensions but do not know who to contact. You can contact the Pension Tracing Service by calling 0845 600 2537 or visit the Pension Tracing Service website.

The Pensions Advisory Service

Is an independent non-profit organisation that provides free information, advice and guidance on the whole spectrum of pensions covering State, company, personal and stakeholder schemes. For further information visit the Pensions Advisory Service website or call 0845 601 2923.

The Pensions Regulator

Is the UK regulator of work-based pension schemes. Visit the Pensions Regulator website or call 0870 606 3636.

The Financial Services Authority

Is the independent regulator set up by Government to look after the financial services industry and protect consumers. Visit the Financial Services Authority website or call 0845 606 1234.

The Pensions Ombudsman

Deals with complaints that mainly concern managing occupational, stakeholder and personal pensions (as opposed to complaints about selling or marketing pensions). Visit the Pensions Ombudsman website, call 020 7834 9144 or email Pensions Ombudsman.
