If you were trying to send an  Employer Payment Summary (EPS) for 2012-13 or an Earlier Year Update (EYU) for 2012-13

You cannot send any EPS or EYU submissions for 2012-13 unless you were one of the very small number of employers who took part in the Real Time Information pilot during 2012-13. You must send amended forms P35 and P14 for 2012-13.

You cannot do this using Basic PAYE Tools. The software that you used to run your payroll in 2012-13 may allow you to do this, otherwise you can use the online forms which are part of HMRC's PAYE Online service. Read more about this in the guide 'Filing your Employer Annual Return (P35 and P14s) for 2012-13'.
