Responses to feedback for Newsletter Issue 19 - June 2005

The Pensions Newsletter is issued every quarter to administrators, employers and other interested parties.

As we are very focused on our customers and are continually trying to improve our service. We invited customers who receive the Newsletter via e-mail (approximately 250) for some feedback about the Pensions Newsletter, 19 responses were received.

We have taken the comments given and put them directly below the questions. The results are shown as follows:

  • Tips on the correct way we should be actioning issues which are the most common problems in your office
  • Common errors made by scheme administrators
  • I refer to the new initiative set out by Val Campbell in the Newsletter dated 19.06.05 as an Organisation, we would be very keen to use both suggested changes for:
  • Scheme Cessation
  • Bulk processing
    We envisage significant timesaving for both us and you in introducing these changes and a reduction in errors. We look forward to hear whether these new initiatives are to be introduced.

Q1c. One way you would change the Newsletter to improve it.

  • I like it the way it is
  • Less spin (please don’t call us customers, we’re not, we have no choice)
  • Add a box with statutory reference relating to subject matter being discussed
  • It would be useful for the items listed on the contents page to have a hyperlink to the relevant page within the Newsletter to make access to a specific section quicker
  • If it a’int broke don’t fix it – it’s fine
  • The Newsletter is fine for our needs
  • Interested in amending Scheme details in bulk
  • As a Manager of a Team exclusively dealing with Pension Scheme wind-up, sharing workspace for Scheme Cessation Activity invaluable.

  • Sorry but resources and priorities mean that we will not be able to respond

As a result of the feedback we have included in our next publication of the Newsletter (which is Issue 20 September 2005) the following:

  • Common errors made by Scheme Administrators

What we are looking to do in the future:

  • FAQ on Scheme Cessation
  • Include hyper-links from the Newsletters to our Internet site
  • Graphics Unit to format future Newsletters in the corporate style
  • Reduce the amount of paper copies we send
  • Remove any address’s from our list, where we have sent a Newsletter to and it has been returned ‘addressee gone away’
