The following services are available to help you reconcile your records with HMRC data.Contracted out Contribution/Earnings Information service (COCIS)
What is COCIS?
The Contracted-out Contributions/Earnings Information Service provides employers/schemes
or their representatives with details of contributions/earnings for specified
tax years. The contribution/earnings
details provided are used in the calculation of
- Guaranteed Minimum Pensions (GMPs) for Salary Related Pension schemes or Salary Related parts of Mixed Benefit schemes
- Protected rights contracted-out deductions (CODs) for Money Purchase schemes or Money Purchase parts of Mixed Benefit schemes
- State Scheme Premiums (SSPs).
Who can use the Contracted-out Contributions/ Earnings Information Service?
This service is available to:
- employers
- bureaux or agents acting on behalf of employers (permission is required from the relevant employer in these cases)
- pension scheme administrators

There is no cost for this service.
Accrued Guaranteed Minimum Pension Liability Service (AGLS)
What is the Accrued GMP Liability Service?
The Accrued GMP Liability Service provides Occupational Pension Scheme Authorities or independent trade unions with details of accrued Guaranteed Minimum Pension (GMP) liability. This information is used to assist in the calculation of actuarial valuations.
Who can use the Accrued GMP Liability Service?
This service is available to
- Occupational Pension Scheme Authorities
- independent trade unions, who are recognised for the purpose of collective bargaining in respect of members of the scheme.
Most trade unions liaise with the scheme in determining the amount of accrued GMP liability the scheme is responsible for. If a trade union requires this information independently they must provide the same information as the scheme.
