Budget 2006 announcement

The Chancellor today announced a rise in the threshold of Stamp Duty Land Tax to £125,000. A budget statement can be found on the Budget 2006 page. The change will take effect from midnight tonight.

To accommodate the increase the Stamp Taxes calculator and Stamp Duty Land Tax Lease calculator will be withdrawn from midnight tonight until further notice. The Stamp Taxes site will be updated as soon as possible.
