Letter to companies

We are sending a letter (PDF 37K) to some of the companies that were formed between October 2004 and August 2005. Companies that have an authorised agent or have delivered their first company tax return will not get the letter. The purpose of the letter is to help these companies get their tax obligations right first time and on time. Along with the letter we are sending a copy of the Notes for New Companies (PDF 51K) and an agent authority form (PDF 111K).

We issued the letter on 22 June but it appears that some of your clients may have received the letter in error. We apologise if this has caused any inconvenience. If your client received a letter it does not mean that we have deleted your details from your client’s record - please do not send in a duplicate agent authorisation form.
