New Corporate Finance Manual and withdrawal of Banking Manual

Following the introduction of the new Corporation Tax Act 2009 ('CTA09'), CT&VAT (Financial Products team) are currently revising the Corporate Finance Manual, which provides guidance on the Corporation Tax rules on loan relationships, derivative contracts, foreign exchange, and other aspects of corporate finance.

As well as changing legislative references, the whole structure of the manual will be revised to follow the structure of CTA09. The Corporation Finance Manual will include guidance on the new debt cap rules once these are ready for publication.

We are aiming to launch the new Corporation Finance Manual in October 2009. At the same time, the Banking Manual will be withdrawn. Parts of this manual will be moved to either the new Corporation Finance Manual or the International Manual.
