When paying electronically you normally have until the 22nd of the month to pay. However 22 May 2010 falls on a Saturday. So this means that your payment for Month 1 of 2010-11 will need to clear HM Revenue & Customs bank account by Friday 21 May.
If your payment does not clear by Friday 21 May, you will have paid late and any further late payment for this tax year may result in a penalty being charged.
