No relief is available in respect of any shares if the arrangements under which they were issued, or any arrangements which otherwise relate to or are connected with their issue, included arrangements of certain types.

The arrangements covered fall into two broad classes - arrangements designed to enable the investor to realise the investment at some later date (see VCM20065), and arrangements designed to protect the value of the investment (see VCM20070).
