People who think they might be entitled to CTC or WTC or both, can go online at www.hmrc.gov.uk/taxcredits to check their eligibility. If they find they are entitled to tax credits they should make a claim immediately, only one claim is required to claim both CTC and WTC. To request a claim form or for further advice they can ring the Tax Credits Helpline (open 8.00am to 8.00pm Monday to Friday and 8.00am to 4.00pm on Saturdays, except Christmas, Boxing and New Year’s Days and Easter Sunday) on the following numbers:

Alternatively, people may visit any HM Revenue & Customs Enquiry Centre or Jobcentre Plus Office if they want help to complete their claim.
