SW02220 - Learning: Online Learning Packages: HMRC Business Authorising Officer




The HMRC Business Authorising Officer (BAO) has overall responsibility for co-ordinating and managing the activities of a Room.

Before an HMRC Member is allowed to carry out the role of BAO they must have successfully completed the (This text has been withheld because of exemptions in the Freedom of Information Act 2000) Online Learning and obtained the Certificates of evidence for both the following packages


  • HMRC Member
  • HMRC Business Authorising Officer

Prospective BAOs who have not successfully completed the Online Learning must not be permitted access to Shared Workspace with the role of BAO.

The HMRC Member package, including the optional element, takes approximately 2 hours to complete, and the HMRC BAO package approximately 2½ hours.
