SW06300 - Rooms: Lock a Room
A Room should only be locked where there is an essential
business need to temporarily prevent access, such as for
maintenance of the Room, or a suspected security breach
SW03245.
A Room can only be locked and unlocked
SW06400 by either an HMRC Business
Authorising Officer (BAO) for the Room or member of the HMRC Shared
Workspace Team (SW Team).
As part of the online process to lock a Room the BAO or SW
Team must enter a reason for its closure where prompted. Where
possible to do so, the message should also indicate when the Room
is expected to be unlocked. This message is displayed to both HMRC
and Customer Members whenever they try to access the room whilst it
is locked.
During the period that the Room is locked, the only members
able to access the Room are the BAOs for that Room and the SW
Team.
