Following on from SSM10.15 - Box N therefore acts as a
reminder to the employee that he or she has some share related
benefits which need to be entered in the return. Documentary
evidence of these benefits should already be in the employees
hands, although he or she may want to ask the employer for help
with values.
The Box N also acts as a reminder to you that there should be
information from the employers return available to you - usually
forwarded by the Employee Share Schemes Unit - which you can use to
check the SA return.
If there are Box N entries in the P11Ds for an employer, but
you have not received any information from Employee Share Schemes
Unit, please let the Unit know so that the company can be reminded
of the need to make a return.
