SPM70325 - Payments - Insolvent employer

Employer not insolvent but cannot pay

If an employee says their employer cannot pay but they are not insolvent refer the caller to the appropriate centralised office who should:

  • telephone the employer to confirm entitlement
  • ask if the employer intends to pay; and
  • advise the employer that if they are entitled to any reimbursement and they are in financial difficulty they may be able to arrange for early reimbursement of payments by contacting the Accounts Office at the address shown on their P30BC booklet.

If the employer continues to refuse to pay refer the case to the Decision Maker for a decision on the employee's entitlement, see DANSP07200.
