Evidence for SAP
Much of the evidence for SAP is the same for adopting children
in the UK and for adopting from abroad, with some differences in
the documentation. For details of conditions, see
SPM30000.
Evidence will include a selection of the following:
Domestic adoption
- Date of notification of matching
- Employment issues:
- status
- continuous employment rule
- employment in MW
- work for liable employer during Adoption Pay Period,
- work for new employer after child is adopted
- notice of start date of SAP
- Matching Certificate
- evidence of placement
- evidence of employment
- earnings
Adoption from abroad
- Official Notification of suitability to adopt, including date it was issued
- employment issues, as above
- notice of start date of SAP
- Self-certificate form SC6
- evidence of entry into UK
- evidence of employment
- earnings
