Council Regulation (EC) No 1334/2000 of 22 June 2000 formerly The Export of Goods, Transfer of Technology and Provision of Technical Assistance (Control) Order 2003 has been recast to Council Regulation (EC) No 428.2009 of 27 August 2009 now known as Export Control Order 2008. |

The Export Control Order 2008 brought about changes to trafficking and brokering (trade controls). There is a new 3 tier structure of goods which aligns trafficking and brokering activities more closely with the risks posed by the goods in these categories. The 3 categories of goods are listed in Part 7 Schedule 1 of the ECO 2008 and are reproduced in Section 4090-4110 of this guidance. |
