SE13838 - Termination payments and benefits: severance payments under the Working Rule Agreement for the engineering construction industry linked to Section 135 Employment Rights Act: scale of payments
SE13834 refers to a payment made on redundancy under the Working
Rule Agreement for the engineering construction industry. The
payment is made where the employment lasts not more than 104 weeks
(which means that no statutory redundancy payment is due).
The weekly sum on which the severance payment calculation is
based for a skilled employee is:

This figure will apply to at least 1 April 2002 |
Payments to semi-skilled or unskilled employees will be
proportional, based on the relationship between their basic rates
and the craftsman rates. Employees who leave voluntarily or who are
dismissed are not entitled to these payments.
