SDLTM81040 - Compliance: Opening an enquiry

Time to respond: When there is no response to an informal approach

If the information is not produced within the time shown in the opening letter, and a revised time scale has not been agreed with the purchaser or agent, the compliance caseworker may wish to contact the agent, if appropriate, by telephone.

If no telephone number has been provided an informal reminder may be written requesting immediate contact in order that the matter may be discussed.

If there is still no response to this informal approach, the purchaser should be sent a formal notice under FA03/SCH10/PARA14 requiring the production of the information requested in the earlier letter, or such that remains outstanding,

A copy of this notice should also be sent to the agent if appropriate.

A telephone call to the agent advising them that a formal notice is now being issued may be helpful.
