SCIG16640 - Procedural Matters: Control of Files: When files are requested
When a file is requested from another office, the originating office should be told the name and reference of the SI case to which it will be linked, and the name and Group of the Investigator responsible. The other office can then note this in their dummy file. When the files are received in SI they should be logged in by the support staff and passed to the appropriate Investigator. A list must be kept of all files classified ‘RESTRICTED’ and above that are transferred from their normal location.
