Change to client reference

If a practitioner changes the reference (for their records) he has already given to a scheme administrator who has authorised HMRC to deal with them on their behalf, the practitioner or the scheme administrator can notify that change by

  • logging in using their user ID and password (see RPSM02306100 and RPSM02306110)
  • selecting Pension Schemes Online from their list of services, and
  • selecting the HMRC free Pensions Product link or the 3rd Party Software link.

If using HMRC's free Pensions Product, select the pension scheme, then select the "Amend scheme details" link under "Administration" or "Scheme Administration".
