Contributions or accrual after the nominated date
Any contributions made by or on behalf of the member after the
nominated date may not be commuted and paid as a
trivial commutation lump sum. This similarly
applies to any new rights that have accrued after this date. This
is because those contributions or rights represent new pension
rights, that were not in existence on that nominated date (and not
valued within the pension right calculation).
Any investment growth that occurs on any rights held on the
nominated date may however be included in the payment.
