Can my pension scheme invest in residential property?
Residential property would not be a tax-exempt investment for
any investment regulated pension scheme (see
RPSM07109050). Such schemes include
SSASs and SIPPs. If you are unsure if a particular property
qualifies as being residential or not further guidance is given at
RPSM07109040.
The rules on what the scheme can invest in are subject to any
transitional protection as set out in
RPSM07109310.
