I am leaving the employment of my employer. Can I receive a refund of the contributions I have made to their pension scheme?

If you have been a member of certain registered pension schemes for less than 2 years you may be entitled to a short service refund lump sum. See RPSM05101530 for information on the various conditions that must be met before you can receive a refund. If you do not qualify for such a refund DWP require that the resulting deferred pension benefits must be paid in accordance with the scheme rules or transferred to another registered pension scheme (see RPSM14100000).
