RPSM05200030 - Members Pages: Contributions and tax relief: Member contributions -overview: Contributions after age 75
Why is it that I cannot receive tax relief on the contributions I have made after I reach the age of 75?
It is considered that as pension saving is designed to provide for an income during retirement and as a member’s pension entitlement has to be fully established by the age of 75, there should be no need for contributions to be made after that age is reached. However if you still wish to contribute you can still do so, it is just that no tax relief will be given on these contributions.
