Authorising practitioners: How will the practitioner know that HMRC has been authorised to deal with them on my behalf?
When you have successfully authorised HMRC to deal with a practitioner on your behalf, HMRC will
- place a notice on the practitioner's Pensions Noticeboard
- if they have provided an email address, send an email alert advising them they have a message on their Pensions Noticeboard
- if they have requested paper notices and reminders, send a notification by post.
The notice will state that HMRC is now authorised to deal with them on your behalf.
