PSI20.3.1 - Funding and Surpluses: Insured Schemes - General - Introduction
(This archived guidance relates to HMRC discretionary
practice before the 6th April 2006. For current guidance on
Registered Pension Schemes see the Registered Pension Schemes
Manual)
Insured schemes make up the bulk of our cases. They range
from simple individual arrangements (see
PSI1.1.16), through earmarked
schemes (see
PSI1.1.18) usually catering
for a small number of members, to common trust funds(see
PSI1.1.19) with large numbers
of members which can be every bit as complex as self-administered
schemes.
