PSI14.2.38 - Transfer Payments: Benefits from
Transfer Payments - Lump Sum Certificate
-
(This archived guidance relates to HMRC discretionary
practice before the 6th April 2006. For current guidance on
Registered Pension Schemes see the Registered Pension Schemes
Manual)
[PN10.30-31]
The administrator of the receiving scheme does
not have to ask for a certificate stating the
maximum lump sum payable when benefits are given on an added years
basis (see
PSI14.2.15). But a grant of added
years lump sum benefits is
not appropriate in respect of any part of a
transfer subject to a NIL certificate.
