Most public sector schemes participate in a transfer system
that enables transfer payments to be made freely between member
schemes. The system also specifies how the transfer payments and
the benefits derived from them are to be calculated. These public
sector schemes are known as "Club" schemes. An exempt approved
private sector scheme can participate in the "Club" in certain
circumstances and you should refer any enquiry about such transfers
to the Cabinet Office, Civil Service Pension Division in accordance
with PN 10.38.
