If the scheme does give post-retirement increases on one of
the bases in
PSI7.1.4 compare the factors
with those in the appropriate table in Appendix A. If the factors
do not exceed the appropriate table by more than 4% (see example at
PSI8.2.41(b)) they may be accepted. If,
however, the factors are outside that range look at SF70/132,
sub-folder 5 to see whether we have agreed factors for the
practitioner concerned. If there are agreed factors but those
adopted for your case do not correspond, ask the practitioner why
they differ.
