Retirement benefits schemes can take many forms. The main kinds, are:

  1. Unfunded Schemes;
  2. Individual Arrangements;
  3. "Hancock" annuities;
  4. Earmarked Schemes;
  5. Common Trust Funds;
  6. Free-Standing AVC Schemes;
  7. Simplified Defined Contribution Schemes.
