Where the main office is not the pension office and the Public
Service, National Board or Forces Pension is small enough to code
out (£2500 or less), the main office should follow steps 1 - 3
below

- Enter the correct abbreviation for the deduction or it will not be automatically uprated each year. The correct entries are
- PSP for Public Service and National Board pensions
- FP for Forces retired pay and pensions
- For the year of commencement
- Set the MCODE signal
- Enter the reason as (PSP / FP and the date of commencement)
- Code CY+1 with PSP or FP as appropriate
- Tell the sub source office to
- Code NT from 6 April next
