PAYE68080 - employment maintenance: movements browser: movement inhibited – new office (Action Guide)
To deal with the work items created where the taxpayer record
cannot be automatically transferred, the new office should follow
steps 1 - 3 below. The guide is presented as follows
| Initial action | Steps 1 - 2 |
| Automatic RETRY time limit expired – please rework manually | Step 3 |
For details of how to access any of the COP functions use the
[Index of Functions] button on the left of the screen.
Initial action
- Note the work item with a date one month ahead
- After one month use Function TD to check if the record is now at your reference
- If the record has been transferred to you delete the work item
- If the record has not been transferred to you after 28 days you will get a further work item. In these circumstances go to step 3
Automatic RETRY time limit expired - please rework manually
Note: If the record cannot be transferred at the
first request then the automatic transfer process will RETRY for a
maximum of 28 days, or until the inhibition on transfer is removed
in the old office
A P204 record is created in the new office and this can be
viewed using Function MA. If the inhibition is not removed by the
old office then, after 28 days, a printout showing the heading
above is produced in the new office
