PAYE68065 - employment maintenance: movements browser: work list - P46 rejections

Once forms P46 captured on the browser have successfully passed through pre-processing they will be processed by the current batch functions utilised by EDI and FBI.

All forms that are successfully processed at this stage will update the COP record, but where the COP record cannot be updated, the P46 details will be rejected and appear on the P46 Rejections Work List.

This Work List will contain rejected forms P46 submitted by EDI, FBI and those you captured using the browser.

When a Work List item is created the reason(s) for the rejection will be shown at the top of the form. You will need to correct all the reasons for rejection before you resubmit the P46.

P46 Rejection Work List items will only be produced If a record cannot be set up and show one of the 10 following messages

• The NINO is missing or invalid
• A main record already exists in the region
• A P204 record already exists at the employer reference shown
• A sub-source record already exists at the employer reference shown
• A live employer cannot be found at the reference shown
• Data from employer is invalid or incomplete
• A record already exists for this taxpayer with the same works no
• A record already exists for this taxpayer at this employer
• A similar record for this taxpayer has been processed earlier today
• The taxpayer name is too long
